Enjoy this healthy Celeriac and Potato Mash! We mixed celeriac and nutmeg to make this classic dish good for you. It's easy and tastes great. Try it and feel the comfort in every bite!
In a large pot, add the diced celeriac and potatoes. Cover with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring to a boil. Cook until both the celeriac and potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
Drain the cooked celeriac and potatoes and return them to the pot. Use a potato masher to mash them until smooth.
Add the onion powder, garlic powder, and freshly grated nutmeg to the mashed celeriac and potatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well to combine the flavors.
In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil (or melt the butter) over medium heat. Pour it into the mashed celeriac and potatoes. Add the milk gradually, mixing continuously, until you achieve the desired creamy consistency.
Taste the mash and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add more nutmeg, salt, or pepper according to your preference. If the mash is too thick, you can add a bit more milk.
Serve & Enjoy!
