Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 Tbsp chopped red onion
  • 1/2 Tbsp chili pepper
  • 3 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Use a fork to mash the avocado to your desired level of smoothness or chunkiness.
  • Mix in the chopped red onion and chili pepper. Adjust the amount of chili according to your spice preference.
  • Gently fold in the diced cherry tomatoes, distributing them evenly throughout the guacamole.
  • Add the lemon juice to the mixture. This not only enhances the flavor but also helps prevent browning.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper into the mixture, adjusting to taste. Remember, you can always add more, so start with a little and adjust as needed.
  • Ensure all ingredients are well combined. Taste and make additional seasoning adjustments if necessary.
  • Serve your guacamole immediately with your favorite chips, or cover it with plastic wrap (making sure it touches the surface to minimize browning) and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
